A Leap of Faith, A Love for Local

Meet Loop Living

Some of the best ideas don't begin with a business plan. Sometimes, they begin with an empty shop, a little encouragement and the courage to give something a go.

For Loop, that's exactly how the story started.

In 2023, an available retail space and a conversation with a friend sparked an unexpected opportunity. There wasn't a carefully mapped-out concept or a grand plan waiting in the wings. In fact, the idea of what the shop would become hadn't quite taken shape yet. “We started by absolute chance,” Tarryn recalls. “I didn't even know what we were going to do in there.” But there was a genuine love for gifting, clothing and supporting local businesses. And sometimes, that's enough to get the ball rolling.

Three months later, Loop opened its doors. What started as a leap of faith had become a little shop with a whole lot of possibility.

Today, Loop at The Avenues Centre brings together a thoughtfully selected mix of clothing, accessories, shoes and gifts, all with a simple idea in mind: making it easy to find something lovely, whether it's for yourself or someone else.

There's something wonderfully relatable about that approach. Some days, you're looking for an outfit that makes you feel good. Other days, it's a pair of earrings, a new pair of shoes or just a little something to brighten your day. “We love supporting local businesses and we love women to feel special,” says Tarryn. Loop understands that feeling, and the joy that can come from finding exactly what you didn't know you needed.

But the love for gifting is just as much a part of the business's personality.

Not every gift needs a big occasion or an elaborate gesture. “Sometimes it's just something small you want to give someone. Sometimes it's something more special,” Tarryn explains. It's those everyday moments of thoughtfulness that Loop loves being part of, offering a variety of options for both the little gestures and the more special occasions.

Alongside that, is a genuine commitment to supporting local businesses and helping women feel special. It's a combination that gives Loop its character: a place where shopping feels easy, personal and a little more meaningful.

And while the business itself began unexpectedly, its place within the Hilton community has become something the team truly values.

Reflecting on their time at The Avenues Centre, there's a particular warmth when speaking about the neighbouring tenants and, especially, their customers. “We have absolutely loved being at The Avenues,” Tarryn shares. “We have the most amazing customers.” Three years into the journey, it's those relationships that have made the experience so rewarding.

With Hilton continuing to grow and exciting developments taking shape around The Avenues Centre, Loop is looking forward to being part of what comes next.

From an empty shop and an uncertain idea to a business with a clear sense of what it loves, Loop's story is a reminder that sometimes the best things begin simply by taking a chance.

And three years later, they're very glad they did.
