The story begins 19 years ago with a nursery in Richmond which remains the heartbeat of the business today. Over the past 14 years, Blackwood's has grown steadily into retail, now spanning four garden centres across the region. Their newest addition, Blackwood’s Hilton at The Avenues Centre, opened four years ago and has quickly become their flagship, the most expansive and fully realised expression of what the brand has been building toward.
Beyond its impressive range of plants and garden tools, the Hilton store features a stunning collection of indoor and outdoor pots and a broader range of products to complement both home and garden, including beautiful décor and a unique gifting section that has you walking out the door with the perfect gift for someone else tucked under your arm. The space is designed to inspire, and the team behind it is deeply committed to that outcome.
"My focus is to keep building something people genuinely enjoy visiting," says the team, "and to make sure we're always inspiring people to dream a bit bigger with what they can create." It's an ethos that extends to every interaction.
